Konami names four principal characters in Belmont's Curse: Rose Belmont, Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades and Count Dracula. Each has a credited voice actor, and each has an official description shorter than the fan discussion around them.
The four principal characters
| Character | Who they are | Voice actor |
|---|---|---|
| Rose Belmont | The new protagonist. Trevor's daughter, a young vampire hunter who carries Dracula's curse in her right arm and uses more weapons than the whip alone. | Abby Trott |
| Trevor Belmont | The hero who defeated Dracula. Holds the holy whip, the Vampire Killer, and travels the Seine toward Paris with his daughter. | JB Blanc |
| Sypha Belnades | Rose's mother. Fought beside Trevor twenty-three years earlier and later died because of the curse, shortly after Rose was born. | Alejandra Reynoso |
| Count Dracula | The undead vampire king and master of Dracula's castle, who led an army of monsters against humanity in the late fifteenth century before Trevor and his companions defeated him. | Graham McTavish |
Two of these are worth reading twice. Sypha is dead before the game begins, and her death is the origin of Rose's condition rather than a plot twist you play through. And Dracula is listed as a character rather than a boss, which is why the boss list has six names on it and his is not one of them.
Is Rose Belmont Sonia Belmont?
No. Rose is Trevor's daughter and a new character. She is not Sonia Belmont, not a re-imagining of Sonia, and not described by Konami as related to her.
The reason this question is worth answering at length is that for a few months in 2026 a reasonable person could have believed otherwise. Konami first described Rose only as Trevor's successor, and her appearance led to speculation about a Sonia connection. Then a PlayStation editorial appeared to confirm it, and the following month the wording was changed back to "successor". The full reveal of who Rose is came later, ahead of the June release date announcement.
So the correct answer has two parts: Rose is not Sonia, and there is a real reason the question was asked, because one official-adjacent editorial briefly said otherwise and was walked back.
📌 Related. Anastasia, Desmound, Victor, Julia, Jacques, Abbot Emmanuel, Lydie, Abel and Rykuda all appear in keyword lists around this game and none of them appear on Konami's character page. This site does not list them as cast.
Two names only community sources carry
Fandom's Belmont's Curse entries add two characters that Konami's own character page does not mention:
Succubus, filed as a boss. Ferryman, filed as a character, with no voice actor recorded.
Both are worth knowing about, because they circulate in discussion as though they were confirmed, and neither has first-party backing. Where they appear here, they are marked as community listings. If Konami adds them to the character page, this section gets shorter.
The boss cast
Six bosses are named with official descriptions and voice actors, from The Fallen in the Paris undercity to Death carrying a scythe that cuts through space. They have their own page, including which voice actor plays which, on the boss list.
The one to read early if you are following the story rather than the combat is Isaac, a devil forgemaster whose grudge against Trevor is twenty years old. He is the clearest thread tying this game to Curse of Darkness, and the story page explains where that fits.
Casting notes
The four principal characters carry English credits only, which matches the game's two audio languages, Japanese and English. Konami has not published a Japanese voice cast list separately from the English one, so this page does not guess at one.
The series background page catalogues the collections that carry the earlier Belmont stories, in case you want the twenty-three years of history before launch rather than after.
